BLENDED LEARNING

Blended learning is generally applied to the practice of using both online and in-person learning experiences when teaching students. In a blended-learning course, for example, students might attend a class taught by a teacher in a traditional classroom setting, while also independently completing online components of the course outside of the classroom and also called hybrid learning and mixed-mode learning, blended-learning experiences may vary widely in design and execution from school to school.
Blended learning does not mean that computers in front of the student. Rather, blended learning is the intentional integration of online and in-person education to expand learning opportunities for students. As necessary as technology is, the real secret to effective blended instruction remains the same as any other classroom: It’s all about the people. Teachers and principals told us that the key to a successful blended learning program isn’t just in choosing software (although selecting excellent online content is criticalties. The role of the teacher is no longer one-size-fits-all, so recruitment and selection must adapt. The way we develop and evaluate teachers must reflect the shifts in what teachers are expected to do. In a blended context, teachers need to exhibit many of the same skills we would expect in a traditional school model. But there are a number of behaviors and skills that are heightened, like effective planning and collaboration with colleagues.

       The advantages of blended learning
·          Less expensive to deliver, affordable and saves time.
·          Flexibility in terms of availability- anytime anywhere. In other words, e-learning enables the  student to access the materials from anywhere at any time.
·          Access to global resources and materials that meet students’ level of knowledge and interest.
·          Self-pacing for slow or quick learners reduces stress and increases satisfaction and              retention.
·          E-learning allows more affective interaction between the learners and their instructors      through the use of emails, discussion boards and chat room.
·          Learners have the ability to track their progress.
·          Learners can also learn through a variety of activities that apply to many different learning  styles that learners have.
·         It helps the learners develop knowledge of using the latest technologies and the Internet.
·         The e-learning could improve the quality of teaching and learning as it supports the face-to-face teaching approaches.

 The disadventages of blended learning:
·          Lack of a firm framework to encourage students to learn.
·         A high level of self-discipline or self-direct is required, learners with low motivation or bad study habits may fall behind.
·         Absence of a learning atmosphere in e-learning systems.
·         The distance-learning format minimizes the level of contact, e-learning  lacks interpersonal and direct interaction among students and teachers.
·         When compared to the face-to-face learning, the learning process is less efficient.
·         The distance-learning format minimizes the level of contact, e-learning lacks interpersonal and direct interaction among students and teachers.
·         When compared to the face-to-face learning, the learning process is les efficient.

GLOBAL EDUCATION NETWORK

New technologies and telecommunications networks have dramatically transformed all facets of life, from medicine to agriculture, entertainment to politics, and economics to service industries (Milken Foundation, 1999). This paper examines the opportunities and challenges associated with technology in the delivery of education worldwide, with a focus on developing countries. There are profound implications for governments, educators and students around the world. This is the case for the delivery of local education in specific countries, and extends to the potential availability of an American education to millions beyond the borders. The paper offers some practical suggestions for education policy makers and leaders in further incorporating technology in global education systems. Increasing global interdependence and the dismantling of geography as a barrier the information access have profound implications for future sustainable development.

For students, GEN available delivers anything that can support their study. Technology supports global education for students' prosperity to survive in this world. They can get references about materials, they can begin the journey that will make them the global leaders of tomorrow, offers opportunities to increase students’ skills, opening the world to students who do not have the time or resources to travel, creates the opportunity for students to build an international network of friends and contacts, so that students can develop business leads, find new job opportunities, and increase their knowledge of other countries and cultures. Global Education Network helps students in order to make them be able to compete in their real life.

Over all, we can conclude that GEN empowers the education sector. Through GEN, Social interaction build connections for a better world, develops cooperative relationships based on communications with other countries, and prepares the world’s future leaders in politics, business, and education along with our determination, because professional development related to global educational practices with technology.

Mr. and Mrs. Ron
Once upon a time there was a couple who lived in a town. Mr. and Mrs. Ron were very rich but stingy. They had everything except a child.
One day there was a poor widow came to Ron’s house asking for some food. “Mr. Ron, would you give me some meals for my daughter? She was hungry but there is nothing to eat.” Asked the widow. “Do you come to my house just for asking some meals? I don’t have some meals for you!!! Go away from my house, poor woman!!!” shouted Mr. Ron. The widow cried and went home. She couldn’t believe that rich Ron didn’t want to give her some meals. Mr. and Mrs. Ron were very stingy, they feared if their wealth would be reduced.
Living in a very big house made Mr. and Mrs. Ron felt lonely. They wanted for a child. “I feel very lonely here, I want to hear a kid laughing or crying in this house.” Said Mrs. Ron to her husband.  “I know what you feel, dear. I also want a child” said Mr. Ron. In the next day, Mrs. Ron told her husband about her dream last night. “Last night, I dreamed I met a mysterious man. He said to me that we can have a child if we can be generous and give most of our wealth to poor people.” “You must be joking, my wife. It was only a dream! It’s impossible if we give most of our wealth to others.” Answered Mr. Ron. “But I think my dream could be true. We always think about how to be richer and richer. Actually, we never feel happy with our wealth.” Mr. Ron ignored his wife.
Mr. Ron went to a river for fishing. At the river he saw a poor widow who ever came to his house asking for some meals with her daughter were washing their clothes. They looked very happy together. “How can poor people look happy, while they do not have money, delicious food, jewelry or nice clothes?” thought Mr. Ron. From that he realized that happy life was not about rich or poor, but about how to be grateful for what we have by sharing and being nice to others.
Then, Mr. and Mrs. Ron invited all poor people in their town to come to their house. They gave them food and some money. Mr. and Mrs. Ron became very generous and Mrs. Ron was pregnant. After few months, she gave birth. Finally they had a child, a daughter. Then, they lived happily with their child ever after.
